Since waking up in 2020 we have delivered brand new healthy mattresses, bed sheets, blankets, and Mosquito Nets to 183 families across two incredible Sleepwell Projects in two inspiring Ugandan communities. As we roll head first into our 3rd edition we shake things up and make our way North to Gulu and Leo Gweyo, a community close to the team’s heart, we return south to connect with a village school to support their boarders, revisit Kyabirwa village for a second round and join forces with a team of Ugandan skateboarders ready to level-up their sleep game….
Bujagali VILLAGE | JINJA
Home sweet home for David and a second home for Tommy this will be trip number 8 and a welcome return for round two of the Sleepwell Project in the community. In 2022 our team from the UK delivered 60 mattresses to families.
Many more families didn’t make the list, so in 2024, it is their turn as we aim to support as many families as we can with new Level 2 and 3 mattresses.

LEO GWEYO COMMUNTIY | GULU
With upwards of 300 families in this community our aim is to support 100 with brand-new Level 2 and 3 mattresses.
99% of these families live in traditional hut houses, they get food through farming and hunting, growing crops in the wet season, and harvesting when the dry season comes.
This community is the family home of our team members Morris and Enzo, in January 2024 we look forward to meeting the community and delivering a few mattresses at the same time.
UGANDA SKATEBOARD SOCIETY | KAMPALA
These young skateboarders are passionate and committed students of the sport, training for hours each day.
The Sleepwell Project 2024 aims to deliver LEVEL 1 mattresses to the team, giving them their very own place to rest and recover.

Bubugo Kayak SCHOOL…
Is a kayaking development project at the source of the White Nile in Bubugo village. Located on the river bank of the mighty White Nile River. I have had the opportunity to share a lot of time with the boys and girls here on the water and enjoy taking some great photos together.
Our friend BOSCO teaches up to thirty local kids about water safety and how to kayak.
The Sleepwell Project 2024 aims to deliver as many LEVEL 1 mattresses to the team to support them off the water and overnight with energy-replenishing sleep, ready for the next training sessions on the River Nile.
TENDA JUNIOR SCHOOL
Tenda is a school in the heart of Kyabirwa Village, With many families struggling to provide school fees we want to alleviate the problem of mattresses for those who board at the school.
The Sleepwell Project 2024 aims to deliver as many LEVEL 1 mattresses to the school as possible, giving the students their very own place to rest, relax and recover.
