DAVID. |BUJAGALI

David delivers all of our local projects and communicates the best way to approach our current initiatives to maximise their impact.

David has been intrinsic to all aspects of my Ugandan adventures since meeting in 2017.  We had already met in 2009 but didn't realise this for another year. David operates ‘Jinja Photography Experiences’, guiding and sharing his home and local culture with travelers on photography tours, and also working with businesses, organisations, and individuals to create images for them.

David works closely with his village chairman, and a host of other epic humans who support each initiative when he needs the extra muscles, from transport providers to local shop keepers and friends he gets them involved.

MORRIS. |KAMPALA

Morris plans and creates photos and videos for the projects we run in Kampala.

These photos and videos are not only essential for the team to share their experience with supporters from around the world but to also see the projects more creatively beyond merely delivering them. It's about understanding, recognizing, and being able to capture those moments that tell the story of his community.

A talented photographer and dancer, Morris is part of the New Hope Dance Project and uses his skills with many other organizations sharing his big heart and creative talents to help them capture their own stories.

Morris works with his community Chairman to deliver our projects.

AMBROSE. |KAMPALA

Ambrose works in collaboration with Morris, primarily working on the logistics and organization of our projects; sourcing and securing everything we need from permissions to people, places, and products.

Training to be a doctor, Ambrose has an ambition, his work ethic and hustle are inspiring. Along with Morris, Ambrose is one of the founders of 'The New Hope Dance Project' using dance and yoga, amongst other activities, to motivate and keep as many people active as possible in their community in Kampala. Many of their team join us throughout our projects.

The city team is based in Acholi Quarters Banda B1, also known as the Slums. It is where we completed the very first ‘SLEEPWELL PROJECT’ in February 2020.

KIBOMBO. |Bujagali

Moses… more commonly referred to by his second name Kibombo (chi - bom - bo) has been a part of our village team since 2020.

In 2022 he is a huge part in hosting and supporting our groups to feel welcome and safe during their time in the Village. His humor, energy, and knowledge make sure the groups get what they need, and where they need to be.

Working with local adventure companies Moses is well-known and respected in his community, and he’s also pretty handy with a camera!

LOCAL support

Each team works within a community and in communication with the Chairman who represents each community in Government. The Chairman implements structure and security for the community members. Both teams also work closely with wider teams of epic humans who support each initiative when they need the extra muscles, from transport providers to local shop keepers and friends, we are grateful to have them involved.

TOMMY. UK|UG

Tommy supports the incredible efforts of the Team to deliver our projects. Based in the UK for most of the year, working as a Commercial Photographer, Tommy created 'THINK PEOPLE THINK STORY' as a small evolving organisation/enterprise.  It is quickly becoming a way to utilise his and the Team's creativity and photography to support the mental and physical wellbeing of humans in the Team's communities.

The relationships forged over many years of adventures around the world and especially a more personal connection to Uganda, have shown Tommy how he can use creativity to inspire and empower every human he meets to feel a little less fear and a lot more self-confident, comfortable, and positive within themselves and their lives.
